Veda Santiadji is an Coral Triangle Support Program Leader in WWF-Indonesia. A marine conservation expert with more than 18 years experience in Indonesia, Veda has worked on issues of illegal trade of species, fisheries management and Marine Protected Area management. His work in 2002-2010, focused on the effective implementation of the MPA management in Wakatobi National Park.  As project leader, he successfully established good partnerships with the park authority and local district government agencies, and he further initiated and built capacity of a large array of local community groups that are currently taking very active roles in the collaborative management in Wakatobi. And now Veda responsibel to work with regional initatives in marine conservation through Sulu Sulawesi Marine Ecoregion and Coral Triangle Initiatives and keep support conservation action works in Indonesia through Science and Species unit in WWF Indonesia.
