Agung Tri Prasetyo, M.A. is a Deputy Director for Bilateral Cooperation at the Center for Analysis of Inte rnationalCooperation and Institutions of the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of Indonesia.
Agung actively supports working groups/joint committee for marine and fisheries cooperation both bilateral and regional cooperation. He is focal point of bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and several countries, such as the United States of America, China, Vietnam, Australia, Poland, Fiji, and the Netherlands. He also conducts intensive communication to develop cooperation with countries in Africa and Middle East region. In regional fora, he supports active involvement of the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries at Coral Triangle Initiative on Coral Reefs, Fisheries and Food Security (CTI-CFF) and Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).
He has been serving the Government of Indonesia since 1996 and involved in replication and scaling up of integrated coastal management approach in 15 Provinces and 43 Districts/Municipalities in Indonesia from 2003 – 2008.
He holds a M.A. in Urban Management from Institute for Housing and Development Studies in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and a B.Sc. in Remote Sensing and Cartography from Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
